Hardcover book
The paperback binding involves the internal stitching of the signatures with different materials including: cotton, linen, synthetic or hemp.
In the particular case of special bindings, silk thread can be used. It is a very resistant and delicate material towards paper. When you opt for the sewing technique, the spine is not milled but is directly glued to the cover. However, it is able to guarantee greater resistance over time. It is generally used to give the printed matter a more elegant and valuable result, thanks to its more “handcrafted” aspect.
